Our Projects

KLASP is a collaborative project, that is made up of three sub-projects, each based around the expertise of the individual co-directors. Day and her UCD team are exploring Early Minon material linked to significant architecture discovered in 1987. Oddo and her Tulane team are investigating the Minoan NW Treasure House and the Arsenal from early 20th-century digs. Trainor is exploring unpublished ceramic assemblages from 1st century BC kiln complexes at Knossos.
The North West Palace Project
This project focuses on the analysis of materials, chiefly pottery, excavated in the so-called Arsenal and Northwest Treasure House by Sir Arthur Evans in the early 1900s.

This project explores the material from the 1987 excavations by Alan Peatfield and Sinclair Hood along the north front of the palace (P87), which aimed to trace the eastward continuation of the monumental EM III wall identified in 1973.
